About Pind & City Enterprises

Two words, and they pull in opposite directions.

Pind is the village. Things made close to home, built properly because replacing them wasn't easy. You kept what you had, and what you had was made to be kept.

City is everything that arrived after. New, fast, convenient, improved every eighteen months. A better version always coming.

Most of us live between the two now. We want the phone, and we want the thing on the shelf that nobody else has. We want the appliance that saves twenty minutes, and the jacket that still fits five winters later.

That's the store.

What we sell

Electronics & Gadgets — the useful end of new technology. Things that automate something recurring rather than novelty for its own sake.

Tech Accessories — cables, chargers, stands. Unglamorous, used daily, and usually the cheapest thing in a home that's quietly annoying you.

Home Appliances — the machines a kitchen and a home run on.

Men's Clothing and Women's Clothing — pieces chosen for how they wear, not how they photograph.

Home & Décor — the things that make a room feel finished rather than furnished.

Kitchen & Dining — cookware, serveware, and the tools that earn their drawer space.

Different categories, one standard.

How we choose

The same three questions, whatever it costs and whichever shelf it sits on.

Does it hold up past the first month? Most products survive the unboxing. Fewer survive being used the way people actually use things — dropped in a bag, washed too often, left in a hot car. Build quality shows up later, which is why we look for it first.

Does it do something real? There's a whole category of product that's a clever idea rather than a useful object. Interesting for a week, then it lives in a cupboard. We're interested in the boring version that gets used for years.

Does the price make sense for what arrives? Not for what the photograph suggested. A lot of online shopping is the gap between the image and the box.

If something only works in the photo, we don't list it. That rules out a great deal of what's available to sell, and we're comfortable with that.

Why the range stays small

A store carrying a thousand items hasn't chosen a thousand items. It has listed whatever a supplier had available that week.

We'd rather show you fewer things and be able to tell you why each one is here. It means we pass on products that would sell perfectly well. It also means the ones we carry are ones we can answer questions about.

What you can expect

Honest descriptions. Specifications where we have them, nothing invented where we don't.

Real delivery windows. The date you can plan around rather than the shortest one we could claim.

A reply. If something goes wrong with an order — and with anything shipped, sometimes it does — there's a person to talk to.

Get in touch

Questions about sizing, specifications, or whether something will suit what you need: ask before you buy rather than after. We'd rather spend five minutes answering than process a return.

What's new, and what lasts. Both have a place.
